Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

The rudest experience ever, immediately greeted by a miserable old aged lady. Obviously on her last paycheck because if she didn't have to be there I don't think she would be. Told us incredibly rudely that we weren't allowed dogs- I offered politely if I'm okay to stay or if she'd rather me wait outside as all we were doing was grabbing a coffee and a roll. The other super sweet worker said we're fine just to wait till it's ordered then go outside- love her she was so kind and told me not to worry (she didn't "allow" the dog in of course she was incredibly professional and kind simply letting me order and not having to tie my dog up outside for 10 seconds in the rain while i ordered.) My drink order was blatantly insulted, "one of those drinks, what's these drink orders become". Rolling her eyes and muttering "if my manager was here...". She then proceeded to spill my coffee and groan lol. (I ordered an iced latte with x2 espresso. a few more buttons..) For using a "coffee machine" in which you press 2 buttons i'm not sure if you have the right to complain. No other workers have ever had an issue with my order.
We have come in before and workers have been nothing but kind to us, so this lady must be having a horrible day and taking it out on customers, or it's a personality thing. Her coworker didn't seem too fond either, maybe it's time to have a talk about customer interactions with staff..

Shayron, is the best at serving caramel lattes. She takes time to Stir the coffee after the syruphas gone in then adds the cream. Not all Greggs workers do this. It’s nice to see people taking pride in the coffee.
Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.
What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
