We were the only couple wanting food when we arrived this afternoon. Half a dozen or so people drinking but nut eating. Looked a good honest pub with a value menu. We weren’t expecting high end or fine dining and that was fine with us. Ordered Caesar salad and chicken feast. After 35 minutes with no food arriving and nobody coming to explain the delay, we paid for our drinks and left. The young dark haired girl who served our drinks and took our food order was friendly and allowed us to pay just for drinks but we left still hungry and disappointed.

We visited at lunchtime today with my elderly parents & the whole experience was fantastic. The bar manager was amazingly proactive, going above and beyond by ensuring all their needs were met & checking they were comfortable throughout. The menu choices were plenty & we all enjoyed our meals which were decent portions & cooked well. The waitress was lovely too & I was so happy that my parents enjoyed their special lunch outing. We will definitely be back again.
