  Looked online before we travelled 20 miles, planned a dog walk and to get to the pub for 8pm and meet the rest of the family there, 8.05 we arrived. We looked specifically online that you could book a table up until 8.45. We were greeted with "are you premier inn customer" and it would appear that you cannot order food after 8pm if not and up until 9pm if you have different purple kind of premier money? Subsequently turfed out to find another food source for the 5 of us. I've since searched the website again just incase I did leave my brains at home but I can't find that rule in the minefield of rules you need to comply with to order dinner. there.

  I had a birthday lunch here today for my daughter and our server Jake was fantastic , great service, we didn’t have to wait for our drinks and our meal was beautifully cooked. I am sorry this Granary is closing , we have never had a bad meal or service and it will be sorely missed. Thank you Jake for making possibly our last time with you all before closure such an enjoyable one and I wish you well in the future

  We visited the granary on 14 th August 2026 And had a lovely evening , it's a shame there are negative reviews as we we found no negatives . Our waitress Jasmine was friendly and really helpful , the other staff members all friendly and working hard in the present heat ! , our food was delicious , hot and we didn't have to wait long , so thankyou all :)

  Came as a walk in, met by a very unfriendly female with foreign accent who said we could not get table in restaurant even tho it was not full, directed us to "the bar" where we had to find a table and the menus ourselves. Same female came to clear our table even tho 1person was still eating his main dish, she cleared away the mayo that was still being used. This person needs to be trained in customer service, I believe she may even be management as she was bossing staff around. Full marks to Harry in the bar for his politeness and patience when my kids were choosing their drinks. On reporting to him that no forks were available, yes you need to fetch your own cutlery, Harry went straight to restock the cutlery and napkins.

  Before I could open my mouth the young bar lady said there's an hour wait if you want food. We were in no rush and were going to have another drink as I told her. When i asked about skin on frys, well you would think I asked her the world, obnoxious, rude, I hadn't had them before so just wanted to know more. She just kept repeating skin on frys or chips, when I went to pay, the card machine ask if I wanted to give a donation, I kept pressing yes but it wound not work, she reached over and pressed no so the payment went through, she then said cutlery was over on another counter, I said thank you, there were no knives so I returned to the bar but again before I could ask she abruptly said ill go and get more as she saw me heading her way, food was fine but I definitely won't be back, i with I'd have gone to the pizza place nx door.
