Tried this place out and it was fab. Meals are delicious, and reasonably priced for what you get. Think Stir in Cambridge if it were larger, with two floors and an outside, and prices less spenny.
Staff are lovely and efficient. I've had the coffee a few times - for my tastes it is spot on - it's consistently the same - good roast, didn't taste burnt, presented really well, etc. Simple things, but if you like coffee, burnt drinks are the worst. Food was lovely - clearly well-sourced, and ample fillings for sandwiches and bagels. Sides are reasonably cheap as well - all in all a definite win for Ely for this place to open up. Oh, and did I mention there's wifi? That nailed it for me.
This is easily going to become my go-to spot for work/study lunches I suspect. Really surprised by the few bad reviews, but i think most of those came from the first week it was open - they definitely don't reflect the place as I experienced it.
Great coffee and customer service. For saying they have only been open for only a short time it’s certainly impressive!!!

Loved the calm aesthetic and welcoming atmosphere. The food arrived quickly, and as someone who prioritises a healthy lifestyle, I'd give the menu a 9/10 I had a salmon bagel and some baked beans on the side. For a gym girlie I was especially excited to see an added sugar free protein milkshakes on offer something that's surprisingly hard to find when eating out. I also loved the variety of drinks. I tried the sugar-free vanilla matcha and enjoyed it so much I took some home with me.

Friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere. Drinks were great - we had chocolate milkshake, loose leaf tea and americano, the hot drinks were perfect temperature.
Food was good - potato with tuna mayo, eggs florentine and a bacon roll. All presented well and tasty, just could have been a bit quicker getting it to us; we waited a while and the food wasn’t as hot as it could have been.

Esquires is a nice spot if you’re looking for a relaxed, dog-friendly coffee shop. The coffee was genuinely good — definitely the highlight of the visit. The food was acceptable, nothing particularly memorable but perfectly fine for a quick bite. Service was quite slow, especially during busier periods, so it’s not the best choice if you’re in a rush. That said, the welcoming atmosphere and being able to bring dogs along made it an enjoyable place overall.
