- SSSamAug 9, 20261.0You always look at reviews and say, there's always one to moan! ...well this is that one, after looking on trip advisers at reviews, 6 family members headed over for our Sunday meal. Where to start... the main came out before the starters. The starters to our grandsons meal never arrived. Crispy salt and pepper squid... greasy not crispy 2 portions sent back. Bruschetta, was cheese on toast with pesto, sent as a make weight for a complete balls up. A really poor burgers x 3. £160 wasted on food, this grub was up there with one of the worst, for some time. We see the chef sitting in the pub to mention what he delivered to our table, his ignorance was incredible and obviously did not enjoy his job, his reply.... complain to the bar staff!!. The Bar staff were friendly and agreed to refund missing starters...(bare minimum) considering the whole outing was ruin by a incompetent chef, we should of been offered much more as they knew it was a poor show and kept apologising...save your money do not eat here under the current chef.

The atmosphere was fantastic, and the bar staff were approachable, friendly, and welcoming. The outdoor area was especially enjoyable and perfect for making the most of the lovely weather we’ve been having lately. Thank you for a wonderful visit!
