Dear Tesco,
I would like to make a complaint about my experience in your store.
Yesterday, I purchased a pair of trousers as a gift for my father. I removed the price tag because I did not want him to see the price. Unfortunately, the trousers did not fit, so I returned to the store the following day to request a refund. I had the purchase receipt, the original removed tag, and the trousers in unused condition.
Despite having the receipt, the tag, and the trousers, a member of staff called Moffoho told me that a refund could not be processed simply because the tag had been removed from the garment. I found this very disappointing and unhelpful. I was also told that I had been recorded on camera, and other staff members stood around me for “security reasons,” which made me feel uncomfortable and unfairly treated, as if I had done something wrong.
I would like to thank Linda, the store manager, for her professionalism, kindness, and understanding. She listened to my concerns, treated me with respect, and ultimately processed the refund. Her customer service was excellent, and I am very grateful for her help.
However, I am disappointed by the attitude and behaviour of Moffoho and the other staff member involved. As a genuine customer with proof of purchase, I expected to be treated with respect and offered assistance rather than being made to feel suspicious.
I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and used to improve customer service in the future.
Kind regards,
