Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. - SNSangita narwalAug 21, 20261.0Very disappointing experience we visited this place on Tuesday, 18 August in the evening with my family and my husband ordered a three hot coffee. Unfortunately, he was given a cold coffee. When my husband asked for the hot coffee we had originally ordered, he told that he have to pay again for it. What was even more disappointing was the rude and unprofessional behaviour of the staff. Mistakes can happen, but the way a customer is treated when pointing out the mistake matters a lot. After this experience, I honestly don’t feel it is worth visiting again. Customer service should be respectful and helpful, especially when the mistake is on the restaurant’s side. Very disappointing experience and definitely not what we expected.

When I complained about it he start shouting on me and rude behaviour. He said if you want hot coffee you need to pay for this. It’s not expectable because I already paid for the coffee. And he ask me for pay extra if you want hot.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
