  Booked a table for 4 for the May bank holiday sunday. Travelled an hour to go, and when there we waited around inside for about 5 minutes until we eventually saw a single member of staff. The restaurant wasnt too busy, quiet really, but the lack of staff really speaks of bad management. Our server was a lovely young lady, very kind, polite and helped any issues we had- and we definitely had issues. We had 3 starters, 1 was cold, 1 was burned, and 1 was just okay (goldilocks anyone?) The burned dish did get remade but came back a while after, despite it being so quiet- again not the servers issue, she was great.(mozzarella sticks). Our mains were all cold, one steak tasted off or near to it, one order was wrong, and had more than 1 hair in the fries- different colours too which was a new one for me. At this point we couldn't eat there any longer, and asked for the bill for what we could eat, the manager was supposed to speak to us, but avoided our table or gazes like the plague, the server however took off the mains, and we paid for the starters and drinks (£41 just for potato skins, mozz sticks, and chicken bites, 2 cokes, a tea and a pineapple juice) and left, only the server apologised, and we were not the only table with issues. If wanting food, avoid this TGIs but if you risk it, be gracious and kind to your servers, it isnt their fault for lack of staff and kitchen faults, but kitchen faults there were, awful food, excellent service (not the manager).

  Rolled up here after a visit to the VUE. Waitress told us they weren’t taking any walk ins and to go to Bella Italia instead (bless her). We made a booking online shortly after as we were curious to check it out what with it being one of the only places left in the UK. Man came over and said that they were short staffed, that we could sit down but that it would “take as long as it takes” and that “he’d seen what we’d done” (making a booking to be seated in a completely empty restaurant) in a very hostile and dismissive tone. The whole thing was hilarious. Decided to go literally anywhere else instead as why would anyone tolerate being spoken to like that? I can see why these places are closing.

  1 of the worst dining experiences for us in a long time. An overwhelmed member of staff doing the best they could to cater to us and taking the blame for the incompetence of management doing a terrible job. The appeal to visit was because it had kids eat free offer. We tried to redeem this from the staff first thing to ensure tbhe offer was sorted. What wasnt made clear to us until we paid was that it was only valid if you got a main meal. We noticed afterwards that it was written in the fine print so felt bamboozled and short changed by the company as well as the staff not making this clear to us. We had hungry children on a friday and were 1 of the first in there before it got busier & yet waiting more than an hour for food, in which we complained for our food should be surely served by now. Only after complaint was our food promptly provided. Upon payment we had to talk to the staff member & yet management would not come out to discuss the bad service, the lack of clarity or communication for the offer & ended up having to pay full and leave disappointed annoyed and would not go again nor recommend anyone visit mid-evening.

  We came at a very quiet time, but music was good and not too loud. Service was a lovely (thank you Ella). The chips were overcooked. But burgers were good and the desserts great. Waitress even brought an extra spoon for mum, which was a nice touch.
