About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

After my experience today I won’t be returning to this Greg’s. The lady working this morning 10/4/26 around 9 am shouldn’t be in a customer service job she was rude from the get go. The shop was empty there was no excuse for her attitude towards me I tried to be friendly but she just kept giving me comments that made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. As someone who is disabled I struggle standing so I went to sit to put the sugar in my coffee before walking and she started shouting over the shop that I needed to pay more for sitting down. No manners just straight rude when I started I was disabled and just needed to sit to put my sugar in she accused me of just sitting and not paying the eat in charge. I have always loved going to Greg’s because I’ve always found the servers to be accommodating and friendly. However this lady has compleltey changed my mind and I think you need to send your staff on some training ( I say this as someone who’s managed hospitality venues, please address this as it’s not ok)

OK I give in, iv been coming to Bedminster every Saturday morning for ages now and grab 2 sausage rolls each time. EVERY Time I come in the "young" staff never and I mean never say "have you got the app" or "do you want to scan your card". Every time they have to cancel the order to scan my app... I have to say though today the girl did say "thank you" but for months now the others... Nothing. Oh the sausage rolls are ALWAYS cold.

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
