- AAAlaa AbbasMay 9, 20261.0On Saturday 09/05/2026 , I was sitting on the chairs outside Greggs for no more than 3 minutes, and the shop was completely empty. I was surprised when a member of staff came outside and told me to move on in a rude and dismissive manner, using hand gestures and speaking to me with a clear lack of respect. The way I was approached was unprofessional and unnecessary, and it made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as a customer. Basic respect and proper customer service should be the minimum standard in any workplace. I strongly believe staff should receive better customer service training and be reminded that when dealing with customers, they are representing their workplace and its reputation. Professional behaviour, respect, and basic courtesy should always come first, regardless of the situation. Unfortunately, this experience has left a very negative impression, and because of the way I was treated, I will not be returning to this branch again.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
