The restaurant needed a good clean. There was debris (egg shells, bits of toast and egg) on the carpet. Food was good when it eventually arrived. It sat on the hot plate for 15 minutes. The waitress was lovely, but rushed off her feet, trying to service a full restaurant. Waited ages for service and the bill. Not great with 2 small children.

It was my first time here and I was very disappointed. The steak was not tasty, and for my child they brought only four small chicken balls – there was hardly anything to eat, more like a portion for a baby. They brought the snacks first and the drinks 10 minutes later, after we had to remind them because they had forgotten them. Normally, drinks should be served first. Nobody asked whether the food was good or if we needed anything else. I would not come back here and would not recommend this place, as the food was not enjoyable.
Always a joy to have my breakfast in here Shane, they're selling up and the restaurant may not be open to the public for much longer. We'll be greatly missed if this becomes the case.

Wake held in Rackstraws bar area -
Daniel the Restaurant Manager was very helpful in helping us organise the food from the buffet menu, with Craig the head chef, in the lead up to the wake and worked with us over the various allergy requirements.
We had the lovely old bar area all to ourselves, with the food tables laid out, and Ben & Sam at the bar & helping lay out etc.
They even had a table ready for our photo boards.
We had our own music playing on our speaker instead of the Beefeater music.
They brought the food down from the restaurant when we were ready.
We are so pleased we booked our wake here.

My husband and myself popped in for lunch with our son, daughter in law and grand daughter. What a pleasant surprise. We were greeted and seated straight away. Food was lovely and Donna our server was absolutely delightful. Than you 😘👍
