- IPIsobel PayneMay 20, 20263.0I used to really like this cafe, the choice of food is great and the coffee is tasty. I really like the options for children. The service is generally good during the week. However, over the past 3-4 months service has really declined. The past 3 times we have gone over the weekend we have been told of a 30 minute wait for food AFTER placing our order and paying for our food. If we had known before we may have gone to the other cafe down the road. The food has infact taken longer at around 50-60 minutes to arrive, this is tricky when you have a toddler and just wanted a quick bite to eat. The last time I came in a member of our group ordered the berry pancakes. You could tell this was rushed as the fruit was still frozen in the middle. Often I notice meals being brought out to large groups 1 at a time which also slows down the service and means the first person's food is cold by the time the last person receives theirs. I want to continue going as it's a nice cafe and only a 5 minute walk from my house. I really hope management pay for extra staff training or recruit extra members in the kitchen (especially at weekends) to help ease the pressure and reduce waiting times.
