    I’d like to share my feedback in two parts. 1. Food Quality The quality of the bread was excellent. It was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside with a lovely sourdough flavour. It tasted fresh and was one of the best Subway breads I’ve had. Great job on the baking. 2. Service Unfortunately, my experience with the sandwich preparation wasn’t as good. None of the staff were wearing name badges, so I’m unable to identify the team member involved. Preparing a sandwich is an art, and attention to detail makes a big difference. The staff member adding the vegetables and sauces seemed to be rushing, placing almost everything in the centre of the sub while leaving the edges nearly empty. I had to ask twice for the fillings to be spread properly across the entire sandwich. I completely understand that the restaurant may have been busy and that I might have been the 100th customer of the day. However, for me, it was my first order, and every customer deserves the same level of care and attention. A little more focus during preparation would have made the experience much better.

    i ordered a tex mex footlong and an oatmeal raisin cookie but i only received a six inch sandwich and a chocolate cookie instead. to make matters worse, i tried calling the store multiple times to resolve the issue, but none of my calls were answered. very disappointing experience.

    On 17/05/2026, Sunday morning at approximately 8:40 AM, we purchased a Kids’ chicken breakfast sandwich meal for our 5-year-old son from the Subway located at the Esso fuel station on London Road (RG12 2TB). By late afternoon the same day, he became unwell with symptoms consistent with food poisoning, which we strongly believe have been caused by stale or contaminated chicken. He developed a fever of around 38.4°C, experienced severe stomach pain throughout the night, and has been unable to eat or drink (aside from a few sips of water). He has also been vomiting continuously on Monday morning and remains in significant discomfort. As a result, he has had to miss school, and we have arranged an appointment with our GP. Still today(Wednesday 20may) he is suffering with stomach aches. Management needs to urgently check their food hygiene and storage standards before another child gets hurt.

    I really wish this Subway offered halal meat options. I work nearby and often feel like having Subway, but I’m unable to because of no halal options except for the vegetarian ones. It would be great to see halal meat choices added so more people like me can enjoy it.
