I placed an order for a medium pizza, a side, and a dessert for delivery at around 18:45. By 19:00 the app showed the food was out for delivery. At 19:10 I received a call from the delivery driver saying he was at the end of the road but couldn’t find a house number. I explained that the property doesn’t have a number — it has a name that appears correctly on Google Maps. However, he didn’t seem to respond to what I was saying, so I assumed there was a connection issue and ended the call.
I then tried calling the number back multiple times but received messages saying it was a premium or restricted number. We even tried from another phone with the same result. I called the store directly and spoke to a staff member who seemed quite unsure and had to keep putting me on hold to speak to a manager. Eventually I was told the driver would be about 10 minutes.
I stood outside my house in the cold and rain for about 25 minutes trying to flag down the driver, but nobody arrived. When I checked the app again, it showed the driver had returned to the store. I called again and was told the food had been delivered — which was completely untrue. After further discussion, they admitted the driver had marked it as delivered because he couldn’t find the address.
They said they would send another driver when available (20–30 minutes). I explained I was happy to wait and would stand outside again to help. I also raised concerns the food might be cold since it had been out so long, but I was assured it had been under a heat lamp and would be fine.
When the replacement delivery finally arrived (after more confusion finding the address), the pizzas and side were greasy, sweaty, sloppy, and barely warm — essentially inedible. The dessert was slightly warm but that didn’t make up for the rest of the meal.
I called again and once more the staff member had to “go get the manager” instead of simply passing me over, despite this being my fourth call about the same order. They offered a remake, which was fine, but at this point I had lost confidence in the delivery service so we collected it ourselves. When we got home, we realised they had also given us the wrong side, but we didn’t have the energy to deal with it again.
The replacement food itself was acceptable, but the overall experience was awful. What should have been a simple pizza delivery turned into nearly two hours of waiting, repeated phone calls, poor communication, and standing outside in bad weather.
