  First time shopping at the Farnworth store for a while. Very disappointing. Standards seemed to have slipped and the store seemed quite grubby compared to previous visits

  Earlier today. I was shopping in the Long Causeway store. Farnworth, with my partner who is in a wheelchair due to a really bad stroke. Unfortunately due to a problem with the chair, she slid down through the seat belt and was in a really bad position which caused her extreme stress and fear as she is totally unable to move herself. In turn I also became very stressed and was in an absolutely useless position to help her. Within minutes we were surrounded by at least ten members of staff. All who helped in some way, especially the first aiders. They were able to lift her up and seat her comfortably back Within the chair and settle her down. All this took a considerable amount of time but none of the staff were in the least bit phased regarding the time issue. I would particularly like to thank the man on the security desk who helped tremendously, the lady who worked in the cafe and my particularly heartfelt thanks to Sue, who normally works on the checkouts, who stayed with us through the whole ordeal, thank you all so very much, there are no words to express my gratitude to you all. And to the store manager, if you read this. Recognise your staff for who they are, they are real heroes of the hour, probably who you never even give a thought to, we could not have done without these people today, they were magnificent in all they did, and I shall never forget how they turned a disaster into a happy ending as I got my partner back to her care home in with little problems in the end. A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF INVOLVED. YOU KNOW WHI YOU ARE.

  Great parking. Very handy. Usually stocked well. Has electric car charging points.

  Have been going here for a year or so and it's gotten worse and worse. This spring they rarely have any plants, past year they had loads every weekend. Shelves always empty, expired or soon to be expired items everywhere. Staff seem like nice people but always chatting away blocking isles. Roll back to last year's stocking and quality levels please. It's at the point now where I can't complete half a shopping list here.

  Lots of empty shelves including the cold shelves and freezers. Generally untidy with staff chatting rather than replenishing stock. Gives the impression of lack of organisation and leadership.
