- MSMicra Sheep5 days ago1.0The place is filthy inside and out. Floors and tables. I asked staff for cleaning materials and they offered to come and clean. The tables were that bad that we had to hold our food and drink until they came. She sprayed 2 pumps and rubbed over the surface leaving all the dried skudge on the table. I used hand gel and a napkin and it came off black. My ND son had been touching the table and I went to send him to wash his hands but the customer toilet was closed. A legal requirement for seated eating establishments is to have access to toilets, there are 6 tables and 11 chairs. Not pleasant.

Sat and ate at the tables outside to do some people -watching and had a great, relaxing pause in my day. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

On this occasion I struck up a conversation with an 88 year old gentleman who had just come from Fitness first, a place he attends 2 to 3 days a week. A conversation about how life had changed in Bolton was both fascinating if a little sad. The point of this post is to say if you're ever at a facility like this, strike up a conversation, you never know what you might learn.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
