Why must I give my personal details to a business that has recently suffered a well-publicised cyber attack just so I can buy eggs at a fair price? I popped in to buy eggs on my way home and was charged an extra 23% because I'm not a member - that's £2.20 instead of £1.79. Why are shops allowed to have two prices? Note the teeny-tiny non-members price on the attached image, and yes, that much higher price is what you pay if you walk in, grab the eggs and go to the checkout - not the big bold £1.79 as you might expect.

Remember that Willy Wonka Experience in Glasgow that made the news for all the wrong reasons a couple of years ago? Imagine that as a shop.
Co-op London Road has woefully limited range of stock, more akin a motorway petrol station than a city-centre supermarket: the prices are usually higher than in nearby shops: generally, the self-scan checkouts don't take cash, or don't take cards, or can't issue receipts, or are completely out of order: and recently, the shelving has been rearranged into a maze around the entrance (presumably to deter shop lifters) which makes it difficult to navigate for the able-bodied, and completely impossible for anyone using a wheelchair.
The security guards are surly at the best of times, and seem intent on making the shopping ordeal even more miserable than it already was.
If you like your immersive theatre experiences to be bleak and slightly scary, you'll love this place - but if you actually want to shop, I'd suggest swerving the place.

It was a terrible day. The female employee with short blue hair was incredibly rude. She clearly heard me, but she seemed racist. Not once, but three times. It's a shame.

It’s like a cross between a prison and a supermarket, where the food is the prisoner. Ruined by shoplifters.
