Lovely store, looks great after the renewal. A shame that the council forced them to give the upper stairs for their documents, and now we have to go around to reach the car park, but it's not their fault. Would've been nice if they managed to keep at least the stairs to the car park, but nothing much can be done, sadly.

Gone from a superstore to a so-so store. Giving up half of your shopfloor to council penpushers was a major mistake.
Nice and bright and sparkly after the refurb (as you would expect), we undertook our first shop here since the closure of the old Superstore.
Firstly, no scan as you shop - surely that's a given nowadays, especially for a new store.
Secondly, having loaded our shopping cart to the brim, we find there is no access to the carpark from the shop floor! Yes, I'll say that again, Tesco expects you to lug half a dozen bags for life full of groceries out into the Eden centre and down to the lifts. If there is assistance available, it's not advertised.
You may as well have kept the "Express" store guys, cos this one really isn't fit for purpose. Sainsburys and Morrisons must be laughing all the way to the bank.

I don't know who designed this new tesco but it is awful, could not find anything the layout is awful, the selection of stock is less than half what it was before, wont be returning. Smells like damp paint too.

After the new opening last week (Feb 2026), which I have been looking forward to, I was very disappointed. They have completely closed off upstairs which means no more clothing or homeware section anymore, absolutely disappointed. No lifts currently in use so I had to take the shopping trolley through the shopping centre to the car park, which is ridiculous. Poorly designed and will no longer be shopping here again. Would give 0 stars if I could.
