Absolutely awful experience. The food was undercooked, the children’s food was like rubber, and honestly it was not fit to be served. For a place that serves families, this is completely unacceptable.
The staff had no idea how to deal with customers and seemed completely untrained. The service was poor, careless, and unprofessional from start to finish. Even the cocktails were terrible — they clearly didn’t know how to make them properly.
Overall, this was a really disappointing and frustrating visit. Bad food, bad drinks, and bad service. I definitely would not recommend this pub and I won’t be returning.
I have also noticed that Jo, the owner seems to defend herself on every negative review instead of actually listening to customers and accepting criticism. At some point, you have to accept the fact that if so many people are unhappy, the problem is not the customers — it is the way the business is being run.
Also, they got us a wrong order and there was hair in the dish.
We went to Hit and Miss Pub which is one minute away and what a relief to be there after such a horrendous experience.

I’ve been coming to this pub since I was a child and still visit regularly for the fantastic food, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent selection of beers and drinks. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and make everyone feel at home.
I’ve also attended several functions here over the years, including wakes, birthday parties, and BBQs, all of which have been very well organised and enjoyable. The service is consistently great, and the pub has a warm, traditional charm that keeps me coming back. Highly recommended this pub! 🐿️
