I shop at this Tesco Express all the time and the difference here is Henna, the store manager. She genuinely takes pride in the shop — it’s always clean, well-stocked, and welcoming, even in the evenings when other shops are messy.
More than that, you can tell she really looks after her staff and customers. The team are always friendly and helpful, and Henna herself is so approachable — she always takes the time to ask how you are. She remembers regulars and makes sure everything runs smoothly.
It’s rare to find a local shop that feels so well cared for. Thank you Henna and the team for the great service!

I recently visited the Tesco Express and found the store to be quite disappointing. The aisles were cluttered with boxes left lying around, making it feel messy and potentially hazardous to navigate. It didn’t seem safe or well-maintained.
On top of that, there was no staff present at the front of the store when I needed assistance. I was trying to buy cigarettes during my break, but with no one available to serve, I was unable to make the purchase. In the end, I had to leave and go to the Co-op down the road instead, which was frustrating and inconvenient.
Overall, the experience felt poorly managed and unprofessional.
I recently had a very disappointing experience at Tesco, and I feel compelled to share it. During my visit, I was treated extremely poorly by the general manager Henna, whose behavior toward customers was shockingly rude and unprofessional.
When I approached her with a simple question, she responded in a dismissive and condescending tone, making me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Instead of offering assistance, she seemed irritated and unwilling to help, which is completely unacceptable in a customer-facing role.
What made the situation worse was her overall attitude—not just toward me, but toward others in the store as well. It was clear that this wasn’t a one-off incident, but rather a pattern of behavior. A manager should set an example for their staff, but in this case, she did the exact opposite.
Tesco is a well-known company, and I expected a much higher standard of customer service. Unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve how customers are treated in the future. I will not be shopping at Tesco again.
