Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

- MBM BOct 6, 20265.0Jess made our visit to Greggs feel really welcoming. She had such a lovely attitude, asked how our day was going and made time to help us. As a Muslim, I really appreciated how inclusive she was and how comfortable she made both me and my wife feel. She also helped us find our way around the Greggs app to check whether we had any freebies on our account. She was patient, friendly and happy to explain things. Those little touches made our visit feel special. Thank you, Jess, for being so kind and making us leave with a smile!

I was served by a staff member named Jess, and from the interaction I felt that her attitude was unnecessarily rude, dismissive and sarcastic. There was very little effort to actually assist me as a customer, and the way I was spoken to made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. What concerns me most is that some of the comments made during the interaction came across as racially insensitive, which I found completely inappropriate and unacceptable. I do not believe any customer should have to tolerate being spoken to in this manner, regardless of how busy the store may be. I would strongly ask management to look into what happened, speak to the staff member involved and take this complaint seriously. Customer service should involve basic respect, professionalism and courtesy, and unfortunately none of those were reflected in my experience today. I sincerely hope Greggs takes this complaint seriously and addresses the matter appropriately, because if concerns like this are simply ignored, customers are left with no choice but to escalate their complaints through the appropriate channels and make others aware of their experience. I would much rather see this dealt with professionally and privately than feel the need to take the matter further.
- KSKomal ShirazOct 3, 20261.0I went in the morning today and the lady that served me i believe her name was jess , wears glasses , she came across as quite sarcastic and rude, and I didn’t find her very friendly or welcoming, but she seemed to be fine with the rest of the customers , me and my sister were the only two in there with headscarfs, so you could imagine , that feels like nothing but racism, she looked absolutely miserable, if you can't do your job properly leave it then!!! You can't pick and choose who you want to treat nicely!!!

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
