  Outstanding Service from Fran at TGI Fridays ❤️ We visited TGI Fridays on Friday, 28 August, to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and I just wanted to take a moment to recognise Fran, who was absolutely amazing. There was a delay at the beginning of our visit as nobody had come over to take our order, but Fran was incredibly apologetic and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. From the moment she came over, she made us feel like we were being looked after by family. Fran was so warm, friendly and attentive throughout our entire visit. She made great recommendations, was incredibly helpful, and constantly checked in to make sure everything was okay. We had two children with us, and she noticed they hadn’t been given crayons when we first arrived and made sure they got some. It was such a small gesture, but it really showed how attentive she was. Most importantly, it was my sister’s birthday, and Fran made her feel genuinely special. Her kindness and personal touch made such a difference to our experience. I don’t usually leave customer service reviews, but Fran really deserves the recognition. She is an absolute gem and a credit to your team. Honestly, I would come back to TGI Fridays because of Fran’s service alone, not even for the food or drinks! Thank you so much, Fran. You are an amazing person, and we really appreciated everything you did for us. ❤️

  Will not be returning…surprised this place is still in business. Arrived for a 9pm booking and told we needed to wait for our table. Got served at the bar for drinks while we waited to be told they didn’t have enough change in the till. Told our table was being cleaned but when we were seated the table was still sticky. A number of walk in requests while we were there were turned away despite there being an abundance of empty tables? Service was slow food was very average. Toilets were unclean and one toilet which was clearly broken had mop heads around the base. Really disappointing.

  I booked a birthday meal at TGI Fridays for my cousins, and unfortunately it turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. Our table was booked for 7:30pm, but nobody came to take our drinks order for around 45 minutes. We repeatedly had to go up to the bar ourselves to order drinks and even asked if we could order our food there because no one had come to our table. The waitress who was serving us was absolutely lovely and clearly doing her best. She seemed to be running around looking after the whole restaurant while several other members of staff appeared to be standing around rather than helping. When our starters finally arrived, they were cold. By that point we’d been waiting so long that no one wanted to complain because we were all so hungry, so we just ate them. While we were eating our starters, I noticed what looked to be our main meals sitting under the heat lamps for around 40 minutes before they were brought out. Our mains didn’t arrive until around 9:30pm—almost two hours after our booking. When the manager eventually brought the food over, instead of apologising, he argued with us. He insisted the food hadn’t been sitting there for 40 minutes and said, “What do you think we’ve been doing, standing around doing nothing?” The reality was that we’d been watching the kitchen, and several staff members were standing around while tables around us were left uncleared. To make matters worse, when the food finally arrived it was freezing cold. It was completely unacceptable after such a long wait. Another waitress, who wasn’t even serving our table, then came over making comments like, “Oh my God, ridiculous,” about our table, which felt incredibly unprofessional. Overall, the service was shocking, the staff were rude, the food was cold, and the way our concerns were handled was unacceptable. In the end, nobody at our table wanted to eat their meals, and everyone refused to pay because the experience was so poor. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. I won’t be returning and certainly wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

  Nice enough waitress, nice location. I come to TGI’s twice a year for my sons and my birthday because we both love it there. We have the same dish every time in Walsall. We got to Walsall by public transport as I have a broken wrist to find the only local branch had also closed. A week later drove an hour each way to the one at resorts world. Chips tasted and felt like they’d been warmed up, chicken wasn’t crispy, my partners wings were pure fat. We left most the meal and wasn’t asked how it was instead if we’d like to take it home. We did advise the waitress how bad the meal was but nothing was done. I won’t be back and for that first time in 30 years I’m now understanding why all the restaurants are closing down. Shame, real Shame

  TGI Fridays – Resorts World Review We visited TGI Fridays at Resorts World yesterday as a group — myself and my husband, our two sons, and my best friend with her two girls. We had a lovely experience overall, and a special mention has to go to our waitress, Megan, who was absolutely brilliant. She was attentive, friendly and made sure we were well looked after throughout our visit. Her colleagues were also lovely and attentive. There was a small issue with one of the children’s meals, as my friend had specifically ordered her daughter’s burger without cheese or toppings due to her dairy intolerance, but it initially arrived with both. Thankfully, this was rectified and a new burger was brought out shortly afterwards. A lovely touch was when one of the waitresses brought over balloon dogs for the children and they absolutely loved them. It was such a thoughtful gesture. 🐶🎈 The food itself was very nice, although the chips could definitely have been hotter. Unfortunately, the biggest let-down was the toilets. I have to say they were appalling and extremely dirty. There was visible dirt build-up along the floor edging and even on the walls, which really isn’t what you expect from a food establishment. The soap also appeared to be very watered down. This definitely needs attention, as cleanliness is so important, particularly in a restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and the staff were fantastic, especially Megan, but the condition of the toilets really did take away from the experience. Hopefully this is something management will address because, with a good clean and a little more attention to the facilities, it would have been a much more positive experience.
