- ARAdil RAug 24, 20264.0A lovely little Greggs tucked away in the charming Western Arcade, a location that adds a real touch of nostalgia and character to the whole experience. There’s something quite special about enjoying a quick bite in such a historic and atmospheric setting. I’m aware there are mixed reviews regarding this particular store, but personally, I had a really good experience. The service was pleasant, the shop was welcoming, and everything was just as I’d hoped. As they say, a Greggs is a Greggs is a Greggs! 😄 You know exactly what you’re getting — familiar favourites, consistent quality and prices that are generally very similar across different branches, with only the occasional 15–20p difference here and there. The shop itself is small and nicely laid out, with a cosy seating area where you can sit down and enjoy your food. A particular bonus during the recent warm weather was the air conditioning working brilliantly — stepping inside was a welcome relief from the heat! Overall, I personally enjoyed my visit. A small, convenient and comfortable Greggs in a fantastic nostalgic location. Sometimes it’s best to judge a place based on your own experience, and mine was certainly a positive one.

To my shock, she immediately started taking orders from customers who were behind me. I was left feeling ignored, humiliated, and unfairly treated. I left without causing any scene. No customer deserves to be treated differently. Everyone should be served with respect and dignity. This experience was deeply upsetting and raises serious concerns about how customers are treated. I hope management investigates this incident thoroughly and takes appropriate action to ensure no one else has to experience such unacceptable treatment. Customer service should be based on fairness and professionalism, and what happened to me fell far below those standards. She’s the black lady and has big eyes.

They also had nothing at all in the hot food point. No wedges, chicken bites etc. Really bad! Will not be returning.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
