About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Went to grab some food. I got tuna crunch as I can’t tolerate tomatoes. I opened it and starting eating and seen a piece of tomato when it shouldn’t been it there.

Can I just show some appreciation to the staff at this store. They are always working really hard through queues and busy periods. A lot of the reviews on here are misleading. I am a regular customer and can say that I have always had a positive visit. The atmosphere in the shop is great, the Team and the Manager get on really well and have a good dynamic between each other whilst serving and providing excellent customer service.

    > I have been trying to give this Greggs the benefit of the doubt for the past 6 to 7 months, but I am officially done. The experience here is consistently horrible, almost entirely due to a staff member named Judy. > If you visit this location, here is what you can expect: > * Disgraceful Attitude: Judy acts like she personally owns the place. She is incredibly rude, completely unprofessional, and exhibits behaviour that is racist. > * Condescending Treatment: She treats paying customers terribly. She acts as if she is doing you a massive favor by handing out free food from her own pocket. If you dare to ask a simple question, she looks down on you and acts as though you cannot afford to buy anything. > Judy’s completely unacceptable behavior and the constant lack of prepared food make me never want to step foot in a Greggs again. Management needs to seriously look into how this branch is being run and how their customers are being treated. Avoid this location at all costs.

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
