Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

I visited Greggs on Moor Street Queensway in Birmingham, and it was a bit of a mixed experience today.
On the positive side, I bought my usual favorite, the vegan sausage roll, along with a hot sauce dip, and as always, it was fresh, warm, and delicious. Greggs really nails their baked goods, and the dip paired perfectly with it.
However, I was really disappointed with their new Mango Lemonade drink. When I first tasted it, it was barely sweet at all. I asked the staff if they could add a bit more sweetness to it, but unfortunately, they didn’t get the balance right. Instead of making it taste the way it was supposed to, they overcorrected and made it incredibly tangy and sour. It was so sharp that it became completely undrinkable, and I ended up having to throw it away.
The food here is always a safe bet, but they definitely need some work on how they prep their new drink options. Hopefully, it was just a one-off issue with the syrup balance, but I'll be sticking to my usual bakes and standard drinks next time I pass through the station!

Standard Greggs but they all have there own atmosphere. This one has lots of shoplifters, often mixes the vegetarian and non vegetarian serving spoons so you may want prepacked. Can get very busy and daytime is quiet

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
