Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.
Staff are very petty. Shift manager in a hijab refused to give me more than one dip for two purchased items, saying that it’s only for the hot food and she’ll make an exception.
This wasn’t the case for previous visits, staff are usually generous with sauces.
The woman in front of me today bought one box of wedges and a baguette and was given 3 tubs of mayo.
Make it make sense because this is the 2nd time I’ve been denied sauces for my food and staff have a different policy each time.

Good food (can’t beat a Greggs sausage roll!) and friendly staff. The interior was a bit untidy with tables not being cleared after other patrons had left, but otherwise it’s a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. Plenty of parking available at Morrisons over the road.

i’ve been meaning to make this review for awhile and the time has finally come.
me and my friends went to birmingham for a long weekend not too long ago, for two mornings we ordered greegs for breakfast from here to our accommodation and my god.
lads. i’ve never hade matcha so amazing. it was beautifully done. exquisite. not only could i actually taste the matcha, twas a deep green, there was the hint of vanilla, and that’s how an iced matcha should be done. the tiny ice cubes aswell really added to the experience. my tongue has never been so graced. the sausage rolls. delectable. i reminisce on the matcha i hade, one could even say, it’s my roman empire.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
