If I could give zero star for the food, I would. Bacon was all hard and crispy, One tiny little sausage my little finger was bigger than the sausage, Couldn’t eat the egg wasn’t cooked properly it was still runny and snotty And we’ve recent salmonella poisoning from Eggs, I was scared to eat them Worst breakfast I’ve had at Tesco’s. Coffeee wasn’t the greatest me milky and a small one was still extra large So basically got an extra large cup of hot milk I would expect better from such a big chain

Automation has killed this. No more talking to someone to give your order and get your drink at the time you pay. Now it’s all touchscreen and a long wait for anything. Waited over 10 mins just for my coffee, so did everyone else in a pretty much empty cafe. Won’t be returning. Not sure saving the wages of someone on the till will encourage others to return. I also had to send my food back when the bacon served was crispier than a pork scratching (honestly, not an overstatement). Not the fault of those serving, but those in charge that make these decisions.

Since the cafe has gone self service with a tablet. It is terrible! It used to be great as you could have a chat with the friendly staff at the till and there was no confusion about your order. This change is especially inefficient for the elderly as I have been told multiple times how confusing it is for them. My Grandfather said it's gone downhill and hardly anyone goes there anymore. There needs to be a till like there was before as this is very inconsiderate for the elderly.

This is a very useful cafe in this large supermarket offering s wide range of family friendly food at very reasonable prices. Different customers will have different views as to whether they place more emphasis on price or on quality. For me, Tesco overemphasises the former massively at the expense of the latter. I have nor sampled every item on the menu but have eaten there a few times during kids-eat-free offer periods and have been universally disappointed. Today, we tried the toasted teacakes which came with jam. The teacake was ok but the jam was frankly terrible! It was, I think, notionally strawberry but it seemed to bear no relationship whatsoever to its fruit of origin, being a pink gooey mass totally devoid of texture. This must represent the very lowest quality of jam which Tescos could find on its amply stocked shelves and I find this, frankly, insulting to its cafe customers. One might have imagined that the cafe would be used to advertise how good Tesco products can be but, in fact, the choice seem to be to demonstrate the depths to which quality can on occasion sink. Tesco, please consider offering us items from you mid range stock at least, rather than palming us off with the cheapest you can find.
