I had to come over this side of Bedford due to an appointment for my daughter. I noticed that they did Royal Mail Postal service so I decided to post here.
I visited Zi 3x who is brilliant. Lovely girl very polite works behind the counter. (Mornings)
Afternoon visit - I stood where I normally do for the post office with a large sign saying queue here - as the other side was for people buying products in the shop. At 1:58 I realised I needed to collect my daughter left the post office queue. And came back at about 2:05. I rejoined the post office queue to be told by the blonde older woman working there to join the queue with everyone else - I explained I wasn’t buying anything from the shop but she said rudely back it’s all one queue. I join the queue explaining that isn’t what I was told this morning, as my turn arrives to then be told to go back over the the post office queue, when I called her out on it as I’ve never had this in other shops or this one she rudely replied ‘it’s always been this way’.
This lady was clearly stressed and explained she was alone on the shop floor
1) this isn’t good in this day and age for her to be alone on the shop floor, with no extra support. It seems dangerous.
2) the way I was spoken to has put me off ever going into the shop again. Because it isn’t my fault either. If the shop cannot manage having Royal Mail as a service and the shop too - it needs to just not be an option.
3) get some extra staff. Customer service would probably improve if it wasn’t just one woman stressed out on the till whilst trying to juggle everything.
4) Zi is great 👍
I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but there’s faults that could easily be fixed and as I can see judging on others reviews it’s an ongoing thing.

Not that it'll make a difference, but the staff are rude with the exception of one or two. Went in to buy something went to self service, asked to sort out age check was ignored ask for help from staff stacking shelves pink haired lady and got rude abrasive attack about asking her colleague
