I wanted to give 0 stars, but apparently the review system believes in positivity, so Tesco gets 1 star simply because the website wouldn’t let me express my true feelings.
My friend and I made the extremely bold and rebellious decision to enter the makeup aisle and look at makeup. I know… shocking behaviour for people inside a shop. Someone call the authorities immediately.
We spent about five minutes checking prices and trying to find the right products when a short blonde well trying to be blonde haired woman began circling us like a security drone that had locked onto two very dangerous criminals… whose crime was reading price tags.
She did several laps around us, occasionally disappearing to whisper with a colleague while very obviously talking about us. The subtlety level was somewhere between a school playground gossip session and a nature documentary where the narrator whispers, “The prey has no idea it’s being watched.”
Then the plot thickened.
We moved to another aisle and—shockingly—she followed us. At this point I realised we were apparently starring in Tesco: The Great Makeup Heist. She informed us we looked “suspicious” because we had been there for a while. Imagine being suspicious for spending time in a shop… looking at things… that the shop sells. Revolutionary.
But wait, it gets better.
She then asked us to empty our pockets. I regret to inform her that the only contraband discovered during this intense investigation was confusion, mild embarrassment, and possibly a receipt from somewhere else.
Overall, a truly unforgettable experience. I went in hoping to buy makeup and instead ended up in what felt like an audition for “Britain’s Most Wanted: Cosmetics Edition.”
Would recommend if you enjoy being followed around a supermarket like you’re planning the Oceans Eleven of the mascara aisle.

Absolutely terrible unless you want a not so fun police styled questioning session by a short old trying to be blond grey haired woman and her partner in crime whilst trying to buy eyeliner.
My maths skills are questionable so naturally, I take my time checking prices to not be embarrassed at the checkout so I spend no longer than five minutes with my friend in this aisle
When I get circled like a vulture stalking, it’s prey by said woman . Just when I escape the stalking circle to the jewellery section I pass her partner in crime when the lady said did you get my message? Not trying to be discreet that they were talking about us when we get to the jewellery aisle We are followed by the stranger. like we have committed an evil crime I didn’t understand that wearing black nail polish was a federal offence in the law of Tesco’s but whatever she corners us like some kind of Sherlock Holmes Stands there trying to be blonde hair blowing in the wind of the aisle looking like William Wallace on the battlefield when she comes up to us and tells us we’ve been browsing for a long time, five minutes, but she obviously has no sense of time Despite having a watch on She then has the audacity to ask us if we’ve put anything in our pockets As if we weren’t trying to navigate the jungle that is the store speaking of which why does the store shift about like the stairs in Harry Potter? I went to get some milk and ended up in the dog toy section not cool guys. then, when I was walking out of the store with my friend after making a purchase after this interaction, oh and she followed us until we left She was stating at us checking to make sure that us evil fiends were stealing and when the alarm didn’t go off, I turned back and said obnoxiously loud oh look it didn’t go off . I’m devastated that the review system didn’t let me give 0 so here is a pity 1 star. I hope miss sherlock Holmes’s doesn’t target anymore prey . Be aware of the makeup aisle they might aswell ask for ID.
