  Short Dates on Click and Collect order. Placed a click and collect order for collection on 27/7/26, collected everything and took it home. Only when I was unpacking it into my fridge did I notice that many of the items had very short dates. The milk expired the day after I bought it, as did the strawberries and lettuce. The strawberries were furry mush within 3 days of my purchase. The yogurt and other items only had 2-3 days on them. They offer a guarantee that the items will be "as fresh as you would chose yourself", BUT you have to either refuse the items when you go to collect them (which I didn't know) or return them before the expiration date (which I was not able to do). I will never use click and collect or delivery from Tesco again!

  Very rarely a pleasant shopping experience. Badly stocked shelves, rarely get everything I go in for, a constant struggle to get down the aisle against upwards of four or five Tesco staff with the extra large trolley they use for gathering goods for online shoppers. Quite often it’s just quicker to skip the aisle and then go back at later. The online shopping staff are usually gathered in a huddle, having a chat. Tonight I had what was clearly a faulty barcode scanner for the scan and go. Each item took about 30 seconds to scan. I got to the till and the till wouldn’t pick up the barcode reader either. A member of staff can over and told me I was using it incorrectly, despite using it correctly for ten plus years. I explained there seemed to be a problem with the hand held unit and was told “At least that’s it over now”. I suggested the unit be held to the side as it seemed faulty and the member of staff laughed, shrugged his shoulders and placed the unit back with the others for the next customer to struggle with. This is what Tesco thinks of customers. Knocknagoney may be further but it’s a superior store by far.
