  Very rarely a pleasant shopping experience. Badly stocked shelves, rarely get everything I go in for, a constant struggle to get down the aisle against upwards of four or five Tesco staff with the extra large trolley they use for gathering goods for online shoppers. Quite often it’s just quicker to skip the aisle and then go back at later. The online shopping staff are usually gathered in a huddle, having a chat. Tonight I had what was clearly a faulty barcode scanner for the scan and go. Each item took about 30 seconds to scan. I got to the till and the till wouldn’t pick up the barcode reader either. A member of staff can over and told me I was using it incorrectly, despite using it correctly for ten plus years. I explained there seemed to be a problem with the hand held unit and was told “At least that’s it over now”. I suggested the unit be held to the side as it seemed faulty and the member of staff laughed, shrugged his shoulders and placed the unit back with the others for the next customer to struggle with. This is what Tesco thinks of customers. Knocknagoney may be further but it’s a superior store by far.

  Employees at scan and go have zero people skills....when they finally stop talking amongst themselves and serve you. Pathetic.

  I spend over £200 every couple of weeks here on a food shop. I use the scan as you go because it’s time consuming to go to the till and queue and wait. Today my trolley was selected and the assistant had to verify over 143 items. This meant all of my food had to be taken out and then god knows what way it was re packed. Treated like a common criminal and majorly inconvenient, defying the purpose of using scan as you go. I was tempted to just abandon the shop, if it happens again I will abandon it and some poor assistant will have to put it all back. It seems everyone and their dog goes to this shop on a Sunday for “a big day out”. Mindless people are walking aimlessly in the aisles. People are bringing 4 kids with them. Not enjoyable at all. I want to get in, get out and get gone. How sad that a food shop has become a family outing. Take your kids to the park or for a walk. Stop clogging up the aisles staring at a bottle of red sauce.

  Went this evening to get a random top up shop and grabbed two packs of paracetamol, went to self scan and course it flagged needed to be over 16. Girl asked if I had id to which I didn’t so refused to sell PARACETAMOL to a fully grown woman who is nearly 30. Clearly she wasn’t having a good day and wanted to pass her bad vibes on as she also didn’t so much as greet me before she asked. This has put me in such a bad mood this evening. I used to work in retail so understand the rules but like seriously I had my car keys and am clearly not a child. Her colleague clearly seen she was being awkward as he wished me a lovely evening and week. Would put me off visiting again
