Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. - RRRubyOct 3, 20263.0Unfortunately one specific tall member of staff is highly incompetent. Has previously given me pizza slices burned to a crisp and when he cooked another it was still burned. So today I put in a breakfast app order plus some additional stuff for later/tomorrow. I turned up at the shop 3 minutes early after putting my order in at least 20-25 mins prior to my collection time. The same member of staff had not bothered to pack my order because he "didn't want it to get cold". But they hadn't packed the cold stuff either. Then they did my coffee and baguette, and left it sat there while they packed the cold stuff and proceeded to make 3 trips for 4 items into the front section of the shop. He then almost gave me a bag with 4 sausage rolls in and my other items instead of my baguette. My baguette was cold by the time I got it and my coffee cup had no hole in the lid to drink from. When I asked why they didn't use their common sense packing the cold stuff up then doing the baguette and coffee once I got there he just seemed oblivious. Common sense isn't common anymore. It's a shame because other staff have been great before.
- KSKim SuttonAug 30, 20261.0A terrible experience here today from a Very rude staff member a male served me today 30/08/2026 im absolutely disgusted with the way this member of staff was.. we ordered our food and was waiting on our food to be given I heard the server say something but didnt quite catch what he said, but he had given me this awful look and said oh never mind I apologised and said I'm sorry i didnt hear what you said but why have you turned around and said never mind when I didnt hear you i said it rude and not good customer service to be that way, he then said in an uptight way I asked you if you had the greggs app and I said I never heard you so I don't understand why you would look at me like that and say never mind, he was getting distressed with me when I asked the question and saying its not nice and its rude to be like that and then wanted to continue on keep going and saying he didnt know me which i dont understand why he would say that all i wanted was to get my food I asked if he could carry on serving so I could get my food and get out of the place as I felt uneasy being spoken to like that. What poor and terrible customer service, if a customer can't hear a person should never speak and look at a customer like that, it should have been said in a apologetic way like im sorry i was asking if you had the greggs app without the rudeness and facial expressions that has been explained above.. the worse customer service i have ever had!!

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
