Everyone and everything on the menu is top notch. They offered me a steak knife for my filet which needed nothing but a fork, perfect! Liz and Kat make everyone feel at home.

I love this place! The food is so delicious. The doctor I work for orders from here all the time for us! All my coworkers and I love this place. My vegetarian coworker said even the salad was so delicious! Last night the bartender could not be bothered with me, but the pick up person gave me a free brownie and was so sweet! He was the nicest person. I don’t know what the bartender’s problem was lol

Not the best experience, but not awful. Price point would assume better, polished service. Stood at front door with no hostess present. Four different staff members walked by without eye contact or asking if we had been helped. Hostess appears from behind us. Immediately seated. Server started friendly, but became annoyed and/or indifferent quickly. Sodas were all flat with no carbonation. Despite sharing lack of carbonation, no effort was made to replace drinks or offer alternative. Appetizers - hummus and chicken pozole soup. Hummus was fantastic, but soup was mostly broth with little flavor. Meals - a burger, a salad, a chicken sandwich and shaved ribeye sandwich. Burger was good. Salad was lacking lettuce (imo) and the additional chicken was burnt, chicken sandwich was cold from sitting in window and other two meals were good. Server wouldn’t acknowledge requests; simply walked away without a head nod or verbal acknowledgment. He did, however, fill requests without any words and walked away. Thank yous were ignored. Total was just under $150 with tip. Food was meh while service was insulting.

I struggled to find a good place based on reviews and landed on Marlow's. I was dining by myself so I was given the option of the bar or a table/booth, that was nice and considerate. I chose the bar, it just felt like the better option. Bartender was quick to get my drink order and I had a Guinness. I was super pleased that she gave it the Guinness minute and didn't just hard poor from the draft system, A+. I settled on this restaurant because it's been a long time since I've had shrimp and grits, which they had on the menu. The wait time for the food was a bit lengthy, but you can't rush good grits. That being said, when I got my food it didn't look like any bowl of shrimp and grits I've ever had. Still had an open mind, as I assumed this was just as we'll say a "chefy" take on the classic dish. Grits were flavored and seasoned well, the shrimp was more like the shrimp you get at the store that was pre-cooked and not seasoned with anything. I didn't finish the meal, not because of the portion size, but more for the lack of want to take another bite of what felt like it should have been more. Overall the service was good. The attention to detail on how to pour a proper Guinness, great. The food and the price tag for what I received, we'll say lacking. If in the area I might consider a return to try something else, but not the abysmal take on a southern classic ever again.
