went to this place for the last time earlier today. i go in the drive thru which is already starting to get backed up. i put in my order and wait in line for 30 minutes. when im finally pulling up to the window, an employee comes out of a door and hands me my coffee, which was very obviously made 30 minutes prior. i waited 30 minutes for a room temp latte that someone could have handed me in line when it was actually hot. the coffee was also terrible. tasted like they torched the milk. i live 2 blocks away but i drive a few miles just to get a decent coffee somewhere else.

This isn’t the place to go if you’re simply looking to grab a coffee quickly and be on your way. I understand that the staff may be encouraged to engage with customers, but the level of conversation feels excessive and slows down the ordering process. During a previous visit, it took much longer than expected to place my order because I was being asked unrelated personal questions, such as “what’s my favorite tv show”?
Today’s experience was especially disappointing. In addition to the usual over the top interaction, I was asked quite bluntly why my dog had so much drool while she was in the car. She is terminally ill with a condition that causes this, and it’s something our family is already dealing with emotionally. While the employee did apologize, the lack of awareness and sensitivity in that moment was upsetting. The youth is quiet obviously shown.
The coffee itself is genuinely great, but the service style may not suit customers, typical coffee drinkers, who just want a straightforward, efficient experience. If the customer interaction were more balanced and professional, this location would easily be top tier. I may try a different location in the future, but won’t be returning to Dutch anytime soon.

Here’s the question… Does coffee taste better if it’s cheap? I’d say No but this place isn’t “un-drinkable “. It’s just not good enough to taste like good coffee. If you want great coffee, check out Mint Coffee in Tucker or San Francisco coffee in Scottsdale (I think). Those two are great. Good coffee is Starbucks… this place mediocre at best. The staff are amazing 💯! I love that they are playing music and enjoying making coffee. The lines are fast too! But that coffee tho…. Taste like warm lighter-than-milk-chocolate cool-whip added, if that makes sense. Even the expresso is missing the expresso flavor.

I want to start out by saying that I love Dutch Bros' coffee. I am a big coffee drinker and really like their drinks. I drink coffee every day. However, I know that I can only go to Dutch Bros on a Saturday or Sunday, and that's only if I have no plans. I can never go before work because I cannot rely on this location to have my coffee ready. I wish I was kidding when I say that I have to strategically plan around going here and carve out, at minimum, 30 minutes for my one cup of coffee.
I've tried walking up to the window to order and going through the drive-thru. Both take forever. I'd say walking up is actually worse because, when you go back to check on your drink because it's been a while, they "forget" to make your drink in the dead of winter, when you're standing outside freezing.
The drive-thru is set up in a way that makes no sense. The far right lane has to merge in, and this allows people that may not have been waiting as long to cut in front of others. A tip for the employees: you should tell cars to follow behind the car whose order you just took. Otherwise, people have trouble merging in, cut in line, etc.
They also make you pay for your drink pretty immediately. This makes sense--they need the time to prep the drinks. But they move so slow that if someone needs to leave the line and go to work, they're unable to do so. This place has potential to be amazing and get so much business from me. While the employees are typically very kind, they are not respectful of people's time. This can be fixed by making the drinks more efficiently and walking out to hand people their drinks rather than making them wait to get to the window. In that scenario, at least the awkward merging lane can drive away and not block the lane closest to the building.
I've read a lot of other reviews. It seems that the only thing stopping this business from getting full 5-stars is the fact that everyone moves ridiculously slow. Dutch Bros, so many people are saying the exact same thing. This location has been open since October. We are all waiting and would appreciate if you would implement an actual plan to change this. It shouldn't take this many people having to comment on this issue for someone to resolve it. So what are you going to do to fix it?

I have gotten the maple waffle with oat milk for 3 trips. Each time the taste is mostly oat milk barely any coffee flavor and not sweet. I have had to go home and add my own maple syrup to it for the flavor to actually taste like what the drink is named after. The chai latte was good the first time and then the second and third one was just bland. Couldn't even taste the spice. I had to come home and find all the spices to fix it and add some sweetener to make it pop.
Consistency with the recipe would be awesome.
The music is WAAAY too loud. Some of us do not listen to music or this particular type, so when you are sitting in line for 20 minutes, the music is extremely irritating and unnecessary.
However, the staff are amazing, young teenagers from what I observed my 3 visits. They could be out causing mischief and wrecking havoc on our neighborhoods, but instead, they are doing something constructive and learning how to earn a living. They are very kind and respectful and have great vibes. So definitely proud of them for that. Perhaps the music is something to keep them pumped for actually working so they enjoy it more and don't feel as stressed. But they could keep that on the inside at a medium low volume level specifically for them because the entire earth doesn't need to hear it.... especially when on an important phone call.
