  When I come to this place, I always place the same order: 2 tamales and a champurrado - never fails. Consistent all the time. One of the best tamal I’ve ever had!! Reminds me of my mom’s tamales. I once ordered 100 tamales for an event I was hosting in less than 48 hours and without hesitation, they accepted my request. Everyone at my event raved about the tamales. I’ve always had a pleasant experience and will continue to make the 30 minute drive.

  It’s part of a gas station property but no importa! We felt like we were sitting in a local restaurant in Ensenada (not the tourist area). The facilities were modern, very clean and the staff, very kind and helpful. The food was delicious with the majority of the patrons being from Latino descent. We ordered chips with queso, 2 tamale and taco meals and a Carne Asada. Tasty, moist and flavorful tamales (one chicken and one pork with mild red sauce) as well as delicious tacos (Al pastor and birria). I’ve heard good things about the mole sauce but they were sold out of it. The steak was a little tough but the flavor was delicious. Honorable mention to the rice and beans and guacamole! Wow wow wow. The portions were really great also. So much so I needed a box for my taco. Overall great value with a lunch meal for 3 with an appetizer for about $50 bucks. Great experience!

  I ordered the tamales and horchata. This was my first time trying a sweet tamale and it was so good. I got the elote which was like a sweet honey cornbread flavor. The red mild chicken was great too. The staff was very friendly and helpful when asking questions about food allergies. My friend got 3 different taco flavors and said the steak and chicken were her favorite. I can't wait to come back again.
