Then on Sunday we went to another restaurant and I ordered a calzone. I was very disappointed I told my wife this doesnt compare to johnnys. Then on Wednesday I was craving another johnnys calzone we ordered the same calzone it came out and it was horrible it looked like it had butter on top of it and it was flat. The only difference was the first time a girl made it this time a guy made it. If my second visit was my first there wouldn’t be a second. I use to live off Virginia avenue back in the early 90s and would eat at Johnny’s 3 times a week. I miss living in Hapeville

The pizza had an overwhelming amount of low-quality cheese, barely any sauce, and a thick, doughy crust that didn’t resemble New York style at all. The balance of ingredients was completely off, making it unpleasant to eat. What made the experience worse was the customer service. When I contacted the restaurant about the issue, instead of simply addressing the concern, I was asked to take photos as if I needed to prove that the pizza was poorly made. That felt unnecessary and dismissive for a pretty straightforward complaint. A quality pizza shop should stand behind their product and customer experience. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of that.
