I was delighted to find a Thai resturant in Statesboro. The food is amazing and flavorful. The service was great. I love the mango sticky rice! I am so glad to have some diversity in cuisine in Statesboro. If you haven't been here yet give it a chance.

We just spent $70 with tip. For 2 meals, a starry(sprite) and a boba tea, oh yah and dumplings (4 small dumplings). My meal was the crispy( mostly soggy/doughy ) beef with veggies and white rice. My wife had some sort of ramen type soup. Only decent part of my meal was the rice and veggies. I tried 2 pieces of the meat. The tips were crispy I guess( just barely). The meat seamed fully cooked, but not the coating. My wife suggested I just take it home and cook the meat the right way( I have a wok, that is over 20 years old ). My wife's noodle soup wasn't good either. She said the only thing she enjoyed was the taste of the boba tea. It would have been better with less ice.
We were celebrating my wife's birthday. It was her day and I did not want to ruin it by sending the food back. I was willing to salvage my meal by cooking it properly at home, for another night meal. My wife has had surgery to make her stomach smaller. So she can't eat much in one sitting. So, we asked to have the meals bagged for later. The meals were placed in the car for the journey home. However, when we got home and went to go inside. I pulled the meals out and noticed the bag was filled with liquid at the bottom and some leaked out, on to the carpet in the car. My wife(who never wants to throw away eatable food). Told me to throw the whole bag in the trash. Which I did.
So, $70 for only a couple bites of not very good food. Also, the only Asian person I saw in there was a guy who didn't even have a hint of a thai accent. I had to remind my wife that have 2 thai cook books here at home. That are in both thai and English. Sent to me from someone I used to know in Bangkok about 20 years ago. They are authentic recipes from Thailand. Not Americanized.
What I am getting to is, if you like crappy expensive fake thai food. So you think you can impress someone. Give this place a try. For me however, I will never step foot in that place again. I wouldn't even accept free food from there, handed to me outside.
For the business, remember every customer has to be satisfied every time as if it was their first time there. As it was my wife and my first time. I had seen the restaurant there for about 5 years and my wife wanted to try it for her birthday this year. I'm glad she's letting me choose where we eat on my birthday.
P.S. My wife thought the food would be good. Because the last Thai restaurant we went to in another state was decent. Her day, her choice.
