Housed in one of River Street's former cotton warehouses built in 1823, The Shrimp Factory is known for its shrimp! Seafood and Savannah go hand in hand, and here you'll find one of the city's tastiest options for casual, coastal dining along the thriving riverfront.
Julia, and specify not “Tulia” which was the name she was given by myself after a few drinks. She was the greatest server and bar tender we ever had. Not joking, she gave us the sweetest time and told us the best stories and showed us such an amazing time. I came here from Ireland and Julia was an absolute legend and a character, the food was phenomenal and the drinks were better. Julia is a credit to the city and so is the shrimp factory. Brilliant time, in all sincerity, I will be back. I LOVE YOU JULIA❤️

I went with family yesterday right when they were switching from lunch to dinner menu. We were served by Christi and she was fantastic! I asked if they had any mahi-mahi on the menu and she said not usually for dinner but she checked the back for any left from lunch, and then designed a plate for me with blackened mahi-mahi, mango salsa, yellow rice and asparagus. We were all so impressed with the food and service that we came back tonight. Christi remembered us and again asked the back and then offered me the same dish! I can’t remember a time when the server was so attentive and invested in ensuring a positive customer experience. The food was excellent for all of us both days but the service was beyond exceptional. Well done Christi, we will definitely be back!

I placed my order and went to the bathroom for men, which I am using for over 70 years. Locked the door did my business and tried to get out.
No luck!!!
Started banging on the door, asking to call police or fire department.
The guy from the closest table came to save me and after 3 minutes took the knife from his table and saved me!!!
I thanked him for the rescue operation and in addition told him that if you want to flush toilet you need to lift the cover of the tank...

Every trip we take down to Savannah we always stop by here at least once and it's for good reason.
Service / Atmosphere:
The staff always has a sort of friendly and "banterish" attitude which always makes it easy to talk to them and ask whatever question you have. Also we had a coupon for a free shrimp cocktail and I didn't even have to ask for it our waitress just seen it on our table and asked if it was alright to go ahead and grab that for us.
Food:
The best thing about this place. They embody the "you get what you pay for" in the best way. Not only is the food great on its own but the portion sizes also fit the price tag.
TL:DR
4/5 : Food is great, service is great and it's accompanied by a rustic atmosphere.

The food was amazing, however the service was extremely disappointing. This was our first stop in Savannah for my birthday, and unfortunately it left a really poor first impression. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant—it was the complete opposite of Southern hospitality. Our bartender/waitress, Julia, repeatedly spoke to our table in a rude manner and even yelled at guests, telling people she was too busy to attend to them. While we completely understand how overwhelming it can get when things are slammed, that does not excuse poor communication or treatment of customers. We waited quite a while for our food and ended up receiving it before we even had drinks, which added to the frustration. After the long wait, she told us that our Bloody Marys were “on her,” which turned out not to be true, as we were still charged for them. Having worked in the service industry for six years myself, I know how demanding it can be, but I have never treated guests this way. I have also never once thought about not tipping a server, however that thought did cross my mind during this experience. Unfortunately, the service really took away from what should have been a special experience.
