It was way too hot. The doors were left open and the AC wasn’t on even though it was 76 degrees outside. Inside the restaurant it felt even hotter, to the point where it was genuinely uncomfortable. We ended up having to get our food to go and eat in our hotel room because we couldn’t enjoy the meal in that heat.
That said, the service was really good, and the Carb Basque was really, really good. Overall, the food itself was solid. But the temperature issue made the entire experience unpleasant, and unfortunately, we won’t be back.

I don’t give 1-star reviews unless something goes horribly wrong, but I’ll say I should have gone in with much lower expectations on the food. First, I will say I really dig the brick surroundings, and the location is great. Waitress was okay at best, only saw her a few times. It was the food that was wildly disappointing. Even though I was on my own, I ordered a few things just to try. The “beer cheese” (words used loosely) with the pretzel was more a milky liquified buttery substance that was nauseating. The scallops were oversauced and undersized. The lobster ravioli was virtually tasteless. $100 meal for a single person shouldn’t make you mad. I should have just stuck with fried shrimp. Maybe I’ll give it a second try next time I’m in town, but there are far better places to eat - I mean, most other places in Savannah.

Well I should have looked at the reviews, started dinner with a glass of wine which was good but from there it went down.
Crab cake was cold and not very good, then we had the potato soup and lobster bisque both were luke warm and lacked in flavor, on to the main course we had fried shrimp and grouper Oscar. The grouper had maybe a tablespoon of shredded crab also lacked flavor. The fried shrimp you really cant screw up.
I've been in the business for 40 years as a corporate chef. I would not recommend waste of money.

I ate here on Friday around 3:00 PM and ordered the Fried Catfish with shrimp and Andouille sausage in Creole sauce. My husband, who has a seafood allergy, ordered the fried chicken.
By 10:00 PM, I became violently ill with severe stomach pain and nonstop vomiting that lasted through the night and in to the early morning. I even passed out on the bathroom floor from exhaustion. The vomiting continued until 6:00 AM and returned again at 2:00 PM the next day.
This has completely ruined my vacation week. I’ve been weak, unable to eat, and spending most of my time in bed at the hotel recovering and trying to stay hydrated. I feel completely miserable!
This was the only meal I ate that day next to my protein shake that my husband had as well. My husband who has a seafood allergy ordere the Fried Chicken at this establishment and has been perfectly fine. The day before we shared a salad meal and our protein shakes. He hasn't had a single issue. It’s extremely concerning to get this sick from a restaurant meal. I hope management takes food safety seriously so no one else experiences this. I will not return or give any recommendations. I only wish I chose somewhere else to eat that day.
