Chart House seafood restaurant might be an exquisite piece of Georgia's southern history, but our style is anything but old fashioned. Newly remodeled interiors give the restaurant a sleek, modern feel while inhabiting the oldest masonry building in the state of Georgia.
Set against the backdrop of the pristine Savannah River and located among the hottest spots of Downtown Savannah, Chart House is one of the most spectacular waterfront restaurants in the city. The sprawling patio is a lovely setting for afternoon weddings or a relaxing Happy Hour on the river. The view of the 4th-busiest port in the nation is unmatched, and the same goes for the food. The menu features southern Low Country twists on seafood classics as well as the legendary Prime Rib.

Ava and Amanda were extremely attentive and friendly. When you go - you have to get the shrimp cocktail. The dry ice presentation is just cool (not sure if my picture could capture this). My wife had the oysters Rockefeller and they didn’t last long. Steak was solid and on par with other Landry’s options, and the Australian Lobster Tail exceeded normal expectations on both size and flavor. All in all a good spot in Savannah for dinner.

Interestingly, there were more than seven empty tables downstairs — I’m assuming it was a staffing issue. My husband ordered a double gin and tonic, but it came out as a single. They corrected it right away. I ordered a very dirty martini, and it was delicious. For an appetizer, we tried the meatball in red sauce with ricotta. Unfortunately, it was lacking in flavor — it really needed basics like salt, pepper, and garlic. Since the appetizer missed the mark, we decided not to order entrées and ended the meal there. Our total was $68.

My Prime Rib was pretty good, my sister got the chicken special and it was overcooked. We had calamari that was pretty good. Service was slow and lacked enough follow up. The clam chowder was ok, expected more from this restaurant.

We are both local Savannahians and did not have a similar experience at another local supposed Savannah favorite for my Birthday in September. Highly recommend the Chart House as a Savannah known favorite that will NOT disappoint. Awesome Job Colton and Chart House Savannah. Thanks for making our night special. We'll be back again for sure. The food did not disappoint. Fresh, flavorful and just superb. The wine selection is out of this world. Makes me miss the Phila location even more. Thank you Mackenzie!
