On two separate occasions, I was given… everything except the brownie. A bold interpretation of the word brownie, I suppose. Now, I understand that in the grand scheme of global chaos, a missing brownie ranks fairly low. Still, it would’ve been nice to enjoy one small comfort while the world actively burns. Call me unreasonable. When I called the store to address this extremely radical expectation, I was met with confusion—bordering on disbelief—that a brownie would be included in a brownie sundae. What a wild, outlandish concept. Silly me for assuming orders should be read and fulfilled as written. But hey, I guess the rumors are true: reading really is becoming a lost art in America. Best, A very sugar-deprived customer :(
