  Pick up order was supposed to be ready at 3.59 pm we got it at 4.44. One dinner fried chicken . The food was very good and the price .

  Was in town for a doctors appointment and decided to give it a try since it’s been 10+ years since coming here. Worst decision I could have made. The PULLED pork was far from pulled, it was sliced at best and when I asked about it the waitress said that’s the way we do it. Very fatty and tough. The Brunswick stew was tomato’s poured out of a can, no meat, no corn, zero flavor ! Hush puppies were not cooked all the way through. There is much better bbq in Savannah !

  I love Barnes restaurant! The only reason I m writing this is to let others know they still exists. Right now, they have specials that all could afford to dine with them. Go visit..

  Ordered to go on the Barnes Restaurant website and it was very easy. The service at the to go counter was very nice and efficient. Everything in our order was correct. I especially liked that most of the side items were put in closed 4oz containers. It kept them warm/hot and kept them from getting on the other food. No baked beans on my fries and chicken fingers. Yay!

  My husband and I went to Barnes at 2:45 pm for lunch. The hostess was sitting in the reception area playing on her phone, but she did greet us and take us into the dining room. She attempted to seat us at a table in the main dining area, but all the tables were dirty. Not full of customers. There were very few customers but all the tables still had dishes on them. Finally she found a booth against the wall. She sat us there. She dropped our place mats on the floor. She picked them up and started to put them on the table. My husband asked her to please wash the food remnants left from the previous customers from the table She acted like that was a strange request, but she did do it. She washed the table with a very wet rag and placed the mats right on the wet table while I repeatedly told her the table was too wet and needed to be dried first. She totally ignored me! My husband took the paper mats and dried the table with them. The waitress came over with a very pleasant smile and welcomed us. She asked about the crumpled mats. We told her we had to dry the table with them. She just said , oh well. She took our drink order and disappeared. About 5 minutes later we heard her talking to some one around the corner just out of our sight. Could have been a customer. So we waited. We had an appointment to get to eventually so we started to be concerned about the time. We noticed our waitress was clearing tables in the dining room. We tried to get her attention, but it was like we were invisible. We waited. The waitress walked past our table to do something else, but did not stop. After we watched her visit with some other customers and disappear again we decided to leave. The waitress was standing in the dining room facing us when we got up and left. No one asked us anything. As we walked back thru the reception area the hostess was sitting down playing with her cell phone again. She did not even look up.
