Chart House seafood restaurant might be an exquisite piece of Georgia's southern history, but our style is anything but old fashioned. Newly remodeled interiors give the restaurant a sleek, modern feel while inhabiting the oldest masonry building in the state of Georgia. Set against the backdrop of the pristine Savannah River and located among the hottest spots of Downtown Savannah, Chart House is one of the most spectacular waterfront restaurants in the city. The sprawling patio is a lovely setting for afternoon weddings or a relaxing Happy Hour on the river. The view of the 4th-busiest port in the nation is unmatched, and the same goes for the food. The menu features southern Low Country twists on seafood classics as well as the legendary Prime Rib. Had 745pm reservations on 4/25. Seated early at 700 with 2 adults and 2 kids on 3rd floor. Ordered cocktails and kids dinners upon seating. Kids dinners came out at 745 and still had no cocktails and no salad for the adults. Other tables around were also noticeably upset with length of time it took to receive food and drinks. Over an hour to get a drink. When the food came out for the adults, it was incorrect and had to send it back and when it came back it was cold. It was really a bad experience.

We had a table of 12 on a week night and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The food was amazing; we had different appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. All All the food was delicious and the drinks were too. But best of all was Dani, our server. She gets six out of five stars! She was so very, very busy, but still so polite and genuine as she worked constantly for hours on our behalf. Go to Chart House and ask for Dani and I promise you’ll have a great experience!

Chart House is phenomenal! We were astonished with the service, food and drinks. The food (swordfish) was wonderfully presented and full of flavor. The servers were so friendly, helpful and genuinely kind. In addition, my friend left her glasses on the table and upon calling the following day, Ryan was very cordial and found them, placing them in safekeeping for us to pick up. Of course we stayed for another beautifully-crafted cocktail when we came back to pick up the glasses. This place has it all. By far the best service we have received during our long weekend girls getaway and first time in the city!

My husband and I ate at Chart House. He ordered the swordfish with rice and I had the Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes. The food was excellent. The dessert was going to take an extra half hour. So we paid and left. We walked a few doors down and bought rocky road ice cream. The couple who sat at a table beside us at the Chart House also did not want to wait a half hour, so they went to the same place and bought ice cream too! Yummy! If there is ever an issue with dessert maybe say so at the beginning and the waiter can put the dessert order in at the same time as the food order. Then there is a big possibility that no one will leave to go buy dessert somewhere else. Manager!

We had high expectations for an upscale experience at Chart House, but left rather disappointed. The prime rib was extremely underwhelming—overpriced, overcooked, and lacking the marbling you’d expect, leaving it dry and not very flavorful. Service didn’t help the situation. Our water and wine glasses sat empty for long stretches, and our waiter was noticeably pushy when it came time to order. He repeatedly tried to upsell us, even steering us toward bottled water with the comment about “filtered Savannah river water,” which felt unnecessary and off-putting. To their credit, the manager did comp our appetizer to try to make things right, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience didn’t match the price point or expectations. Unfortunately, we’d still recommend steering clear.
