I had to wait 30 minutes in the pick up stall after waiting 5 minutes in the drive through only to be told they’re not taking cash. This place sucks and the management must be horrible because this experience has been consistent the last two or three times we been here. I mean seriously, it is not hard to have enough people working on a shift. You’d be better off going to the grocery store, getting home, thawing the meat, and cooking a burger, and then calling your mom for an hour than coming here. I’ll be collecting social security in 40 years and it’ll only take me 2 trips to this sonic to get there. Seriously, don’t come here.
I rarely leave reviews, and when I do, it’s almost exclusively to leave 5 stars. Unfortunately, this SONIC location wasted my time and left me frustrated and hungry.
I pulled up to the drive thru and someone on the mic said they’d be right with me. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes, during which another few cars pulled into the other drive thru lane. After 10 minutes had passed, the speaker in the other lane asked the other car what they wanted to order, even though I got there first and had been made to wait 10+ minutes. I had tried getting their attention multiple times but was ignored while the other lane got service.
I know the bar for service is low when it comes to fast food, but there’s a reason this particular location has such horrid ratings. Don’t bother wasting your time or money here.
This is literally the sonic I’ve ever been to. Been sitting in the drive thru line for 30 minutes at the order box and no one spoke for 30 minutes. Everytime I come here I have to wait an hour for my food all for it to be poorly distasteful. Tastes like they never change their grease. It’s shocking to see a company with such poor reviews still an open establishment. The city needs to close it down and so us all a favor. Just a waste of my time and money.
Went for the first time today went through the drive thru and the lady who took our order was very rude when I asked for the flavors for the slushies we were told to read the screen I then let her know I cannot see as my vision is not that great and I also didn’t have my glasses she just said once again to read the screen. She was very rude and not very considerate I do not think I will come back since I drove over 39 mins just to get bad service the food was fine the customer interaction needs to improve. Makes me wonder what rudeness a person with a disability would receive especially if they can’t see well. I felt terrible when I left but oh well service was very slow too. First time ever coming to Sonic and it’ll be the last. The experience was genuinely unpleasant from start to finish. The woman on the intercom (a big-set Caucasian female with a visible “1997” tattoo) was extremely rude and aggressive, yelling through the speaker and speaking so unclearly that it was hard to understand what she was even saying.
There was absolutely no attempt at basic customer service. When we asked about frozen shakes, we were met with a loud, irritated response of “we don’t got that, the ice cream machine is down” followed by a dramatic sigh, as if we were inconveniencing her by ordering.
To top it off, the screen still prompted us to leave a tip, which felt pretty bold given the attitude we’d already received.
When she brought the food out, we said “thank you” multiple times and were completely ignored. No response, no acknowledgment, just a glare and she walked off angrily.
The atmosphere was uncomfortable, the service was genuinely some of the worst I’ve experienced at any fast-food place, and while the food was fine, it tastes no different than McDonald’s — which somehow manages to have much better customer service. The drink was the only decent part of the visit.
Overall, this was a huge letdown and absolutely not worth a 20-minute drive.
I regret coming here and won’t be returning.
