The service wasn't terrible, but everyone felt disinterested and disengaged, and we were only one of two groups in the place; at one point, the server completely spaced out while I was placing my order, and I ended having to repeat it. I don't mind repeating myself if someone doesnt hear me or it's loud. In this case, the person just broke eye contact and went somewhere else in their head. The rest of the staff interactions were similarly bizarre or off-putting. It seemed like no one wanted to be there and no one was happy to have customers. The food was.... fine? Although, we weren't asked the usual options of bread/chips/apple with our order, so we had just SO MUCH bread. It didnt taste particularly fresh, but nothing tasted especially bad. It was just sort of... there? The whole vibe in the place was weird. There wasn't much energy other than the energy you get when you can tell someone is annoyed by your presence. I hate leaving a bad review, but my wife and I couldn't help but remember to each other that Panera used to be a place that had great food, great service, and an atmosphere so awesome that you used to have to wait for a table. It doesn't feel that way anymore. Hopefully they can turn it around?

Worse, the soup was clumpy, had a strange texture, and tasted like it had been sitting for far too long. It honestly felt old. Not sure what’s going on, but definitely won’t be coming back.
