One star removed for "atmosphere" - the new thin "school lunch tray" presentation of the food. I absolutely hate the trays. Jerusalem bakery on hwy 9 has been a staple for us for a decade. The food is outstanding. The baked goods are superb. The people are great. The prices have had to rise in this environment, which is hardly surprising. But yesterday I found that for dining in, they have switched from serving the platter meals on plates to using horrid trays with individual compartments.
It brings the whole experience down and it actually kills my desire to go there for dinner. I hope they revisit and reverse this decision.

I’ve been coming here with my family for a long time, and it used to feel like our comfort spot. Unfortunately, the experience hasn’t felt the same lately. The taste of the food isn’t quite what it used to be, and being served on plastic made tray especially with hot food, really takes away from the overall experience and feels not worth it to dine in.
The French fry portion feels more like a kids’ Happy Meal size, yet it still costs $4.
It just doesn’t feel as comfortable or enjoyable as before. I hope they consider bringing back the quality and plates atmosphere that made this places.

I’ve been a regular at this place, but the menu has changed significantly. The portions are now smaller, yet the prices are higher, which was a real shock. Unfortunately, we don’t plan to return. If you’re used to their previous servings, be aware that the portion sizes are no longer the same.

I ordered online and went to pick it up, but stood at the counter for a while without being acknowledged. There were five employees behind the counter, one preparing food and the others laughing and joking around. Two of them clearly saw me and made eye contact, then went right back to what they were doing. Eventually, the person preparing food helped me, and I could see my order sitting there the whole time. When I asked for extra white sauce, he rolled his eyes while pouting and tossed them onto the counter.
The food might be great, but if the service makes customers feel disrespected, it ruins the whole experience.
