I just left this location after calling in a carryout order for a one-topping pizza, and it could not have been any easier. Thanks a lot!
Update: I came back today because of how well I was treated yesterday, only to deal with a young lady who claimed to be the manager, Shauntea. Upon walking up to the counter, she was not only rude but immediately condescending and disrespectful. I said good morning, and she rolled her eyes and said, “What do you want?”
I asked if I could use the coupon I was holding for a Big Dinner Box (two medium one-topping pizzas, eight boneless wings, and five breadsticks) for $26.99. Instead of honoring the price, she said it was $33 and some change. When I pointed out that the coupon says $26.99, she said, “It’s the taxes.” She never even looked at the coupon. Are you telling me taxes increase the order by $6? I asked her to take a look so she could see that, but she immediately cut me off and said, “It’s cheaper online.” There was nothing on the coupon stating that it was an online-only offer.
When I asked if I could speak with someone else, she said the GM would be back next week. I explained that I had been there the day before and had a great experience, which is why I returned, only to be treated like this. I was the first customer of the day, and this is how I was treated by your manager. Professionally I work as a corporate trainer in banking and finance, specializing in customer solutions, service, and management training and I will use this experience as an example of how not to treat customers. When I asked for her name, she became defensive and asked me to leave after providing it.
To the GM returning next week: if you care about your store, please contact me so you can hear firsthand about this experience. She even pulled another employee to assist me when she decided she was done, and that employee said, “Oh, I’m not the manager.” One employee’s behavior like this can cost a business customers.
Update: I just left the Tucker location, and they could not have been more professional. They honored the coupon immediately. It’s amazing that another location right down the street could resolve in seconds what this manager could not for the first customer of the day.
All I wanted was some pizza, but I will not be returning to this location. You were unprofessional from the moment I walked in until I left, and this was just after opening, it was 10:08 a.m. I know because you opened the door late while I was standing outside at 10:00. This experience was extremely disappointing.
