Horrible service this afternoon around 1:00 PM. The drive-thru was not marked as closed, yet no one answered it. I watched more than two dozen vehicles pull up and leave after waiting with no response.
What was most troubling was witnessing an elderly, disabled man pull up to the window. After tapping on the glass, an associate eventually opened the window and told him to come inside because they were “understaffed.” The employee then proceeded to discuss within earshot of customers how “rude” it was for the man to tap on the window.
The gentleman parked his car, slowly walked inside with a cane, and patiently placed his order.
Being understaffed is one thing. Lacking basic empathy, communication, and professionalism is another. If the drive-thru is closed, post signage. And regardless of staffing challenges, customers, especially elderly and disabled patrons, should be treated with respect.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve experienced this level of service at this location over the past few months. I also have a long-standing business just around the corner, and I will be sure to inform my staff and schedule all future meetings without catering from this location.
A generic response asking customers to leave a review does not signal a desire to improve, especially when repeat low-star reviews show a pattern of the same issues.
Do better.
