I’m really disappointed to be writing this because Pappadeaux has always been a favorite of mine, especially the crab fingers, which I order regularly and know very well.
On 12/11/2025, I placed a To-Go order at the bar for my ultimate favorite meal: crab fingers with dirty rice, requesting they be both sautéed and fried. Unfortunately, after getting on the expressway and being well into a very congested drive home (I live over 1.5 hours away), I realized the sautéed crab fingers were missing entirely, and the dirty rice portion was extremely small. This was not how the dish is normally served, and turning back simply wasn’t an option due to traffic.
I returned again on 1/5/2026, truly expecting a better experience but sadly, it was even more disappointing.
Our server, Tyler, initially greeted us with a warm smile, but as the interaction continued, his patience and willingness to provide good customer service noticeably declined. My guest and I felt as though we were inconveniencing him with simple requests, including asking for sweet tea. In the past, I’ve always experienced a much more warm and welcoming level of service at this location.
Because of my prior experience, I shared my concern about ordering the crab fingers again, so I opted instead for the shrimp and catfish meal. Unfortunately, the catfish had an unpleasant taste, and I asked to send it back. Wanting to avoid making a scene or involving management, I then ordered the crab fingers again, hoping they would at least be satisfying.
Regrettably, the fried crab fingers were not fresh, and once again, the dirty rice portion was very small. At that point, I chose not to raise the issue further. My guest and I simply finished what we could and left extremely disappointed.
Consistency, quality, and service are what keep loyal customers coming back especially when traveling such a long distance. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously, because this restaurant has always been a favorite of mine, and I would love to enjoy it again with the level of excellence I’ve come to expect.

For a high price restaurant, it has the worst service and the food is presented in a sloppy way!The salad was watery and missing ingredients. The server was obviously overwhelmed and management just stood around with their hands in their pockets doing nothing. I couldn't even get a drink refill and I took my dessert to go because it was too loud and chaotic in the restaurant. Have been here several times because it is 1 of my clients favorite places and I'll never understand why, will not be back and have already told several people not to bother going here, save your money and the headaches, absolutely horrible !!!
I placed a large to go, to be picked up on Xmas Eve. About 20 mins prior to pick up time, I receive an email saying something was wrong with my order. When I arrive, I find out that the entire order was cancelled due to them running out of red beans and rice, which was actually the MAIN thing my mom wanted. Not only that, I have to repay for the order (and they don’t have tap pay so had to go back to the car and get my wallet), while waiting on my refund from the cancelled. Expecting to be in and out fairly quickly, I am now in a fairly lengthy and frustrating ordeal. However, Gabrielle was great! She could definitely sense my frustration. And although she didn’t do anything overly special, her attitude, demeanor and smile helped calm my frustrations. She made sure I had something to drink will I waited and ensured everything was correct with my order, double checking it with me. By Gabrielle not getting frustrated with my frustration she helped turn my experience entirely around. Thank you Gabrielle and Merry Christmas!
Our family came to celebrate a birthday, the wait was about 15 min. After we were seated there was a bit of a wait before our server came. I can say the server was so attentive and knowledgeable, and told us about the changes to the menu. The appetizers we chose were the crab cakes and gator bites, and they did not disappoint. The crab cakes were 98% crab and the biggest I’ve ever seen. They weren’t just big and full of meat, but delicious and full of flavor. The gator bites were hot, crispy, tender and full of flavor as well. The entrees ordered were, fried catfish, shrimp, mussels, clams, fries, red beans and rice and pasta primavera. The fish I felt needed a bit more seasoning, however overall everything was hot fresh and delicious. The pasta dish was made to accommodate the vegetarian in our group, and it was amazing. The portions are huge and I felt reasonably priced. Desert was amazing, we ordered key lime pie with whipped cream and sweet potato pecan pie with ice cream. It was truly the cherry on top of a fantastic night. The atmosphere was perfect just so enjoyable. When I visit again I plan on returning to try more from the menu, great job Pappadeaux❤️
Experience, to me, equates to both food and service. I've had the pleasure of having incredible service with a mention of 4 people who I've had the pleasure of dealings with - 3 servers and one manager.. I don't drink at all but 90% of the time I sit at the bar. Cora Jean makes it worth it! She is attentive, professional, and always amazing. If/when my food doesn't come out the right way, she rectifies it IMMEDIATELY. She never forgets about me and checks in to make sure I don't have any other needs even though I'm only drinking water. That's even more important because to me that means it's about service and not about a bigger tab. Also, this whole team at the bar works together so well which is why the bar is always crowded. Also want to mention the great customer service of Alison. So if Cora Jean isn't there, you cannot go wrong with her. She is wonderful too! I was there a couple of days ago and my guest arrived before me so he sat at the tables. Not my preference but we had Aidan as our server. He did a great job but the kitchen forgot about our order. We waited for more than an hour before we asked where our food was. Thank goodness for a manager name Adrianne (hope I spelled it right). When I tell you she made sure we were taken care of... Trust me! It turned a potentially horrific visit to a top notch experience!!! Kudos
