Pappadeaux is ALWAYS a treat! Parking on the other-hand? A less than favorable experience. I had to park so far that my friend had to drive me to my space. lol All of this only because I refused to fight to get back across the incoming & outgoing traffic line. Anywhooo, an hour later wait for a table led us to the over-packed bar where the wall of patrons sitting there & the frenzied bar servers ignoring us, made it hard to get a cocktail while we wait. After some time a hospitable bartender served one of the BEST drinks I’ve had recently-the Bloody Orange Mule! I sub’d the vodka & added dark rum…IT WAS DEVINE. It’s a good thing we brought our cigars to entertain us because we sat outside on the beautifully landscaped (for fall) deck and people watched & puffed the time away, until they were ready for us. Our server (hate I forget her name) was delightful, hospitable & accommodating. She ordered everything to accurate-perfection. For the most part, everything came out promptly—for the most part. How all of the hot items were prepared & ready before the very simply shucked oysters were? Idk. But I do know it wasn’t her fault. She was very mindful to ask if I preferred they arrive before my meal. So, now i have the irritating task of deciding if I would rather have my crawfish platter get cold while eating my oysters OR do I have my oysters sit & loose it’s succulence while I tackle the hot dish. Anyway-I love love this place & it never disappoints -once you make it inside anyway. Oh, I kno it’s ATL & home of the twerk but, it would be nice to actually hear more creole & bounce music, or even jazz for that matter - for a more authentic feel. Just for authenticity.

Our sever Amaya provided exceptional service during our dining experience. Her attention to detail during the peak dinner period was appreciated. Although the background music was louder than what I'm accustomed when dining, I was still able to enjoy my meal and my dinner party. Major kudos to Amaya for ensuring my dining experience was pleasurable.

Papadeauxs is absolutely legendary and what’s amazing is that this location has been that way consistently since it opened almost 30 years ago. This is culinary creole/low country at its best. Their Ètouffèe is excellent. The stuffed crab is always tasty. Their pasta dishes always hit the spot, and don’t even get me started on the epic desserts! Staff are very attentive, friendly, and helpful. They are also very informed on their menu and wine pairings. This was one of my go to first date locations for years because it’s the perfect balance between upscale/fancy and casual. Beautifully designed and themed restaurant. I can’t give this place enough praise… it really is one of a kind in all the best ways. It’s not cheap but the quality makes it worth it.

This is a large and VERY noisy restaurant on Friday night. Service was slow. I had the cobb salad. It arrived with a wedge of iceburg lettuce, a pile of cherry tomatoes, a small pile of red onion strips, snd a small pile of bacon. I ordered it with crab snd shrimp. There were a few pieces of crab and shrimp on top of the lettuce wedge. I asked for a substitue dressing. Niw. This may seem picky. But I feel food should be served ready to eat. I asked the waiter if he could return it tonthe litchen snd ask them to cut up the lettuce and toss it all together. He removed it, returning a few minutes later tellin me the kitchen told him "no". Cutting up and mixing a salad at the table on a full plate is difficult. And what kind of restaurant tells the customer "no" on such a simple request. The overwhelming din with poor acoustics, snotty kitchen, made it less than a pleasing dinner experience. Maybe a slow time might a better choice for enjoyment. Overall. The experience was a 3 star.
