The person behind the counter was unkempt and approached me as if serving me was a problem. After I gave my order, she simply stared at me before bagging my bagels without a word. I also tried to use a coupon—as I frequent many Panera stores and order online often—but she told me I could not use it because it was not lunchtime. When I pointed out that the coupon did not indicate a time restriction, her attitude and appearance were so corrosive that I did not even want to pursue the discussion. To make matters worse, when I got to my car, I realized there was a hole at the bottom of the bag and part of my order was missing. I actually considered walking out during the transaction, and after this experience, I truly wish I had. This was a very disappointing visit for a regular customer.
