To Whom It May Concern,
I am submitting this formal statement regarding a deeply distressing and unacceptable incident that occurred today at the Checkers location located at 3409 Mercer University Drive in Macon, Georgia.
Due to a mechanical issue with my vehicle—specifically, inoperable windows—I briefly stepped out of my car at the drive-through in order to complete a routine transaction. I approached the window calmly and respectfully, with no aggression or disruption of any kind.
Despite my respectful demeanor, I was confronted with unprovoked hostility from an on-duty employee who left their assigned area and aggressively approached me, using profane and threatening language. Most disturbingly, this individual verbally declared that they would shoot me. As someone who values composure, logic, and mutual respect, I was genuinely stunned and deeply shaken.
This encounter was not just inappropriate — it was terrifying. It left me in a state of emotional disarray and physical tension that I am still struggling to process hours later. The fear and disbelief I experienced in that moment were overwhelming. I felt targeted, disrespected, and vulnerable in a way that no customer should ever have to feel — particularly when they’ve done absolutely nothing wrong.
At the time, I was on a live phone call with a witness who heard the incident unfold in real time. They were alarmed and speechless, later expressing that they were disturbed by what they heard and unable to believe the treatment I received. Their firsthand account is available if needed, and they are willing to cooperate in any formal review of this matter.
I am now experiencing lingering emotional distress and physical discomfort due to the stress imposed on me by this encounter. I want to make it clear: I did not deserve this. I came to this business as a paying customer expecting the most basic level of professionalism and safety, and what I received instead was aggression, threats, and intimidation.
Because of the severity of this incident, I & “we all” fully intend to pursue this issue further. This matter deserves a comprehensive internal review, and I expect to be contacted directly by Checkers corporate. I am fully prepared to provide supporting documentation, details, and witness testimony to ensure accountability is achieved.
We will be looking deeply into this situation, because no customer should be subjected to the kind of emotional harm and fear I experienced today. I am not only emotionally impacted — I am also outraged that a business could allow such conduct to occur under its name. We Also couldn’t help but overhear a good spirited staff member attempt to correct them but they didn’t take heed; instead, they stated back; “ that’s how I talk.” & look; corrupted individual has met torn on the inside yet.
Oh I didn’t turn back around due to “the situation” but my food; my order was made wrong & only one out of the two fish sandwiches I was SUPPOSE to get came out as an cold burger & hot over cooked greasy fish sandwich. Yuk. But I love-like the rest of everyone else’s attitude & keeping it cool around while I was at visit here! Not in the other hand for “that specific one”. You’ve done an BAD thing. Shame on you. Macon, Ga has good people for your fyi.
